The ASVAB Aftermath

After believing that I had to retake the ASVAB (taken February 25), I received a call from one of the Air Force recruiters and he told me that I've passed the overall ASVAB...that I qualify for the service after all. Intially, I was pleased! However, my happiness was short-lived when I realized the irony. I would still have to wait about a month to fully qualify for the Air Force, because on February 27, I was smoking marijuana, thinking it wouldn't matter at the time. If I go through the physical too soon, I would test positive for marijuana, and I would be permanently disqualify (I would never be allow to enlist in the service). So...ironically, I still have to wait. Well, thank God I didn't lose my job.
